Spent our 3Rd day fishing with Chris and the Proud Pelican crew this week. Weather had calmed after the Tropical Storm and the waves were much calmer. Chris did another fantastic job putting us on the fish. He knows these waters well and it showed today. More big Red Snapper, Vermillion, White Snapper and a bunch of Mahi/Mahi. Chris pulled us up to a patch of weeds floating on the surface and through out some bait. Next thing you know we have Mahi all around the boat hitting ever line we had out. One after another. To see those green and blue fish come right up and slam your bait is truly spectacular. Chris it’s been a pleasure and Lord willing we will see you next year for another adventure. Fished with Proud Pelican crew again. As always they didn’t disappoint. Caught Red Snapper, Vermillion, Mahi and Scamp Grouper. Chris even took us out to 300+ Ft of water and did some deep drops. Caught my first Tile Fish. Water was rough, had a tropical storm blowing in from the west, made it a challenging day, but Chris still put us on fish, and masterfully drove through the high waves to get us home. Chris you out did yourself Sunday. Folks Chris kept us on the fish all day and that included Red Snapper, Vermiilion, Bonita, and Mahi. We extended our time and caught fish through out the day. We have used him before and last year he lead me to a 55 pound Cobia. His new deck hand needs a little fish identification training ( inside joke ) but I would recommend the Proud Pelican anytime. He will go out of his way for anyone in your group with special needs also. Jack

We booked a 10 hour trip with Captain Chris and his first maté Russell. They were extremely friendly from the booking process until we end of the day. We had an absolutely perfect day for fishing with calm seas and a perfect temperature. We had a party of 6 with us with several of them this being their 1st deep sea trip. We started out doing some trolling in the morning. While we didn’t have any success I absolutely loved it. We then went bottom fishing. All the graphs showed a ton of fish. The bite was tough though. As fishermen I know you can’t make the fish bite. We did catch a lot of fish through out the day and several different species. Bottom line is it was a tough day of fishing but I would absolutely book another trip with Captain Chris. In fact myself, my son and one other gentleman are looking at a overnight trip running out to the oil rigs.
